About My Training

I’m Dean, a certified personal trainer with over 5 years of experience in boxing instruction and strength training. My goal is to help queer and trans people feel strong, confident, and powerful in their bodies through safe, affirming coaching. As a Black trans man, I know how important it is to find a trainer you can trust, and that’s why I’ve created a welcoming space for clients to achieve their fitness goals, whether through boxing, strength training, or a combination of both.

I offer three specialized programs tailored to different fitness goals:

  • Boxing for Cardio, Weight Loss, and Functional Strength – Perfect for clients looking to burn fat, improve endurance, and learn real boxing skills. Whether you’re training for self-defense, competition, or personal growth, I’ll teach you how to throw punches, develop footwork, and improve overall fitness in every session.

  • Strength and Muscle Building Program – This program is ideal for those wanting to build muscle and increase strength. Using traditional weightlifting techniques, I’ll guide you through key lifts like bench press, squats, rows, and deadlifts, helping you build a strong, muscular physique.

  • Hybrid Program – Combining boxing and strength training, this program offers the best of both worlds. It’s designed for clients who want to improve cardio endurance and build muscle at the same time, giving you a balanced, full-body workout.

My Experience

I’ve trained with professional, belt-winning fighters in the NFC, and my experience spans everything from sparring with professional MMA fighters to teaching boxing as a form of self-defense and emotional regulation. My background in strength training includes working with clients to build muscle mass, improve functional strength, and boost overall fitness. I’ve helped clients of all backgrounds, including those with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and injuries.

As a personal trainer, I emphasize body-positive, gender-affirming coaching, providing a safe and inclusive space for queer and trans clients. Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or are ready to take your training to the next level, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
